Laserhead

Here's another idea, again, click the image for a larger view and feedback is appreciated! This one would be more difficult to achieve but I think it has potential. The main problem I see is judging whether or not the laser has gone off the track (in which case it would be game over for the player). This would be a major issue if the track was moving at a high speed as it would be easy for the player to clip a corner on the track without realising it.

  1. Sounds like a fantastic idea, the setup seems slightly complicated (mostly with the whole motor thing, perhaps I just don't have the knowledge) perhaps we could simplify and make it a two player game where one turns a handle which makes the track move, and therefore determine the speed.

It would add in a slight strategical element because the faster they spin the harder it would be for the player with the laser, but on the other hand they would have to remember the person with the laser determines their track speed as well.
